Our son and a few of his friends did some parody JW videos too. They were usually Ninja type field service situations .Actually very funny they weren't to offensive and we had a pretty good sense of humor .....wish I could find a few of them to share .

I just discovered something!
by fade_away inwhen i was a witness, my friends and i used to make hilarious parody videos about everything.
titanic, jackass, 24, and our own religion: jehovah's witnesses.
all of which got us all in trouble with the elders.

Cherish the new memories we can make now that we are Ex-JW

My husbands sister lives across the country from us . We have had little contact with her over the years . Since leaving the Witnesses I have tried to restablish their connections . Tomorrow is her 50th birthday so for the first time we sent her a present ......here is what she wrote on facebook this morning .
"I cried this am when a delivery was made. It is a birthday present from my brother and his wife. They were JW's so they did not celebrate holidays. Well today I received my first present ever from my brother and wife... a gorgeous music box that plays Irish eyes are smiling. I will keep this dear to my heart forever! How did they know I LOVE music boxes????? Thank you Brenda and Carl! It's the BEST! I love you guys "
Sometimes we spend a lot of time focused on the past and become bitter on what we have missed out on ,but moments like this remind me how important it is to make new memories NOW . Everyday we have the chance to do or say something that lifts someone else up .Don't pass up those moments because your angry over the past . That is why birthday's and holidays are so special to me now ....it means an oppurtunity to make a happy memory .

house picks up the 'bi" babe from prison.
she stops the car to go to a door and he wisecracks, 'i didn't know you were a jehovah's witness'.

She went to the door and knocked when the guy answers she knees him in the nuts . She calmly walks back to the car and House says " I didn't know you were a Jehovah's Witness " and she says " The weak lost faith when the end didn't come in 1975 ,but dammit I still believe " .....(.She could have said when Christ didn't return i am not sure )

Found something really cute while cleaning out the garage ...
by troubled mind ingoing through an old filing cabinet i found pages from a diary i must of kept when the kids were little .
the first page was entitled 'funny things the kids say '.
entry from 1985 : ( our son j*** was 4 and his brother t** one .

Our youngest never had much of a filter .....at the Memorial one year an elderly woman sat next to us . She was very thin with long stringy hair , long finger nails ,and wrinkly hands . Our son looked her up and down and then turned to me in a loud voice asked ,"Mom is she a WITCH ?"
My butt did the slide down shuffle in the chair .
He also went up to a old man smoking in front of Wal-Mart ,and told him he was going to die for smoking . In the store at Christmas time he saw a life size Santa cut out and yelled "Look MOM that's bad ! ...Right Mom ,he's BAD !! "

30 years of bound volumes make it to the curb .....
by troubled mind inour box of watchtower and awake bound volumes have sat out in the garage the past five yrs .
this week is city wide clean up so we finally toted them to the curb .
those suckers are heavy !

I do feel bad that when I went through my Mothers things after she died ,I accidently threw out some JW memrobilia she had saved from the fifties . It was the program from Yankee stadium when she was baptised ...in the 50's ..when they had the huge International convention and extra people filled the polo grounds . She had news clippings badges and programs . A whole bag of stuff got mixed in with garbage and thrown away ....I cried for days because I felt so bad ,she had saved this stuff for yrs.
I did find an old newspaper in the garage that has an article on the front page entitled "Jehovah's Witness Riot with Vets in city park ". It is from 1940's and the small town is in northern Illinois ....can't recall the name at the moment though .
